Zum Auftakt der Foto Wien finden in der Galerie OstLicht gleich zwei außergewöhnliche Auktionen statt, bei denen sowohl Freunde historischer Kameratechnik wie auch Liebhaber fotografischer Kunstwerke zahlreiche und besondere Raritäten finden werden. OSTLICHT CAMERA AUCTIONDer 1.

Lempertz versteigert im Mai und Juni eine herausragende Sammlung deutscher Expressionisten und Romantiker. Die Rheinische Privatsammlung, die fast 90 Jahre in Familienbesitz blieb, zeugt von hoher Kennerschaft und umfasst zahlreiche epochale Schlüsselwerke. Höhepunkt der Sammlung ist Hermann Max Pechsteins „Selbstbildnis, liegend“ aus dem Jahr 1909. Das bedeutendste Selbstporträt des Künstlers war vielfach in Museen ausgestellt und spiegelt die Hochphase des deutschen Expressionismus wider.
